How can families help support their children during E-Learning Days?
What if my child needs assistance with the assignments?
Teachers will be available during regular school hours via email to assist students and answer questions. A teacher may be helping another student and so the reply will not always be immediate, but the teacher will respond to student and parent questions each school day. If a parent or student sends a question after school hours, the teacher will respond on the next school day. Additional assistance will also be provided when students return to school.
What if my child has special education needs?
The district will make every reasonable effort to continue to provide Special Education and other student support services throughout the period of school closure.

- Check your email regularly for updates.
- You know your child. While in many ways you were your child’s first teachers, we do not expect you to take on the role of the classroom teacher.
- The purpose of E-Learning during this unusual time is to help keep students connected to learning and to help maintain a student’s current levels and avoid regression.
- If your child gets overwhelmed, take a break!
- If something in the choice board or our teacher letter activities doesn’t work for your child,
- contact the teacher for support or ideas for an alternate learning activity
- consult with websites like Scholastic Learn at Home Grades PreK-6+ that have ideas that you can utilize for additional or alternate activities for your child
